Lucio - Prototypes

It took nearly 30 prototypes to finalize the concept of Lucio.

Lucio is made as an open edition project, where every piece is signed and numbered. Choices had to be made regarding materials, light source, the mirrors, surface, etc. In the period of 2005 - 2007, there were made several prototypes of Lucio, base coated, with a foil or just from lacquered plywood. These prototypes where exhibited and sold in Iceland, whereas some of them made it to Italy and were showcased at Salone Satellite.

The idea behind Lucio is to create the setting of a sanctuary, a place to escape to, alone or with friends, by blending the visual effects of mirrors and light bouncing off a wall.

Some of these prototypes remain available, while others have found home in hotels, modern homes, nightclubs, offices and private spaces.
